The Midnight Nymph by Avantika Singh
On the last day of Navratri today, I wish and hope that all of you had a great festive time and would have an amazing year ahead. Here we have another set of jewellery from the lovely Quills & Spills.
We wanted to talk about something along the theme of the earth because of the way the pictures turned out and so today’s blog is about the earth as a nurturer.
Indian Mythology believes that the earth is significant of two things: the eternal and the perishable. While nature is over exploited due to it being considered as eternal, it does have its limits and soon perishes. It is how we take it for granted that is most unacceptable.
The earth is a giver and a nurturer. While we take away in plenty from her, the urgency to give back to her is insignificant. It is unfortunately the age of anthropocene. This age of human intervention and exploitation is slowly eating the earth away. The rising of the sea level, climate change, glaciers melting, the increase in disasters are all consequences of the damage caused over the years.
As we move back to natural methods through organic products and more let’s also take a step to save the earth.
